The start of an epic. Sathyavathi and King Santhanu are going on a boat when Sathyavathi spots a golden fish. With great courage and strength she captures it. Hasthinapuram is being attacked by bandits. The bandits are captured by a brave warrior called Devaviradhan. Santhanu comes to the aid of his people and finds out that Devaviradhan is his son. Santhanu declares Devaviradhan as the crown prince. Sathyavathi is upset hearing this as her plans gets destroyed due to this. For the sake of his father's happiness he approaches Sathyavathi and promises her wish.
