Duryodhanan asks Karnan to take part in the Swayamvaram in his stead. Dhrishtadyuman stops Karnan and asks Duryodhanan to prove his strength. Drupadhan asks Karnan to go back to his place. Duryodhanan asks Karnan to prove his strength by shooting the arrow and marrying Draupadi. Karnan takes the bow and arrow. Karnan is about to shoot the target when Draupathi stops him and tells she can never marry a guy from a lower caste.
