திரௌபதி சபையில் உள்ள அனைவருக்கும் சாபம் கொடுக்கிறாள். சகுனி துரியோதனனிடம் பாண்டவர்களை 12 வருடம் வனவாசமும் ஒரு வருடம் அஞ்ஞாதவாசம் அனுப்ப திட்டம் கூறுகிறார். பாண்டவர்கள் அனைவரும் அவர்களின் வனவாசம் முடிந்தப்பின் குரு வம்சத்தை அடியோடு அழிக்கபப்போவதாக கூறி சபதம் எடுத்து அங்கிருந்து செல்கின்றனர்.
