திரௌபதி அவளுடைய மகன் அபிமன்யுவை சந்தித்து ஆனந்தம் கொள்கிறாள். காந்தாரி நடக்கவிருக்கும் போரில் அவளது அனைத்து மகன்களை இழப்பாள் என்பதை கேள்வியுற்று அதிர்ச்சி அடைகிறாள். கிருஷ்ணன் உத்தரையை அபிமன்யுவிற்கு திருமணம் செய்ய யோசனை கூறுகிறார்.
