அர்ஜுனன் அபிமன்யுவை எண்ணி பெருமை கொள்கிறார். துரியோதனன் பலராமனிடம் மன்னிப்பு வேண்டுகிறான். சகுனி பலராமனிடம் வரவிற்கும் போரில் பங்கு கொள்ளக்கூடாது என்று வேண்டுகிறார். சுபத்திரை அர்ஜுனனிடம் அவளது அண்ணன்னின் முடிவில் ஏதோ ஓர் அர்த்தம் மறைந்திருக்கும் என்கிறாள்.
